Great article and good tips!! I own a local cleaning company and we see homes before and after sales all the time. Yyou’d be surprised how many people forget about cleaning everything before an open house or before the actual sale closes. We’ve been called literally at the last minute because the homeowner simply forgot about the house being cleaned.
For your readers, know that every maid service in town offers something called a “Move In/Out Cleaning Package”. It may be called something slightly different but the premise is the same. Everything is cleaned from top to bottom – and that includes the inside/outside of cabinets and drawers.
If you prefer to clean everything yourself, make sure that you set aside two days because the job isn’t easy or quick. Plus, the scope of the work could be so large that you just say “forget it”.
